What are we like?

If you choose to come to church on a Sunday morning we want you to know what we are like so that you feel at home as soon as you come. You might like to read the 'Values and Vision' section too as this will give you some idea about us.
We are a friendly, caring group of people who enjoy good fellowship together on Sundays and throughout the week. We like to welcome everyone we meet and try to make our services accessible and relevant to all.

We are a welcoming church who work together and engage with the local community. We have a practical building with good access which is used by a variety of groups involved in many different activities. Other than the groups for families, younger children and older adults we host the local residents group and the Thetford Players. We also facilitate special activities for families during school holidays. Please see our 'what's on' page for details of some of the groups and events we regularly run .
We are down to earth, informal and relaxed. On Sundays our small band plays a mixture of well known hymns as well as more contemporary worship songs. We also use You tube clips to help us worship. We often have visiting speakers who tend to encourage participation while sharing the message that God has inspired them to deliver. Some of our visitors refer to us as 'The front row church' because we choose not to sit in rows, but in a semi circle. The front row can be quite small at times, while at other times we have to extend it. Every other week we have a home group where we study the Bible in detail.
Just as Jesus came down to earth so we are down to earth people who want to share with down to earth people the good news that Jesus is with us by his Spirit and transforms our lives if we let him.
